Holistic, individual approach to skin care is essential in order to achieve maximum therapeutic effectiveness.

In this class the students will expand their knowledge about essential oils used in skin care for skin health and general well being.

We will explore the key actions of essential oils and specific essential oil components relevant to skin care including the effects of the psycho-physiological responses to fragrance on the skin and the benefits of the sedative properties of essential oils.

By incorporating the scientific concept of neuro-immune-cutaneous-endocrine network the students will gain a deeper understanding of the skin as an interface between mind and body, the effect of stress on the skin and the impact of the skin disease on our mental health.
